Office competition terms and conditions
About this competition
- All applications will be judged by a judging panel, including representatives from the competition coordinators and supporters (Enterprise UK, eOffice, Enterprise UK Ambassadors)
- The judges will be looking for innovative business ideas, real potential for growth and what impact free office space will have for your existing business in the next 12 months
- One overall winner win 1 year’s rent free office space, (broadband and phone connection included) for up to 3 people, registered address, dedicated phone service, a 3 page website and access to business mentors and workshops.
- In each of the four locations (Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and London) one winner will win 1 year’s virtual office space (40 hours hot desking per month, 4 hour meeting rooms per month, registered address, dedicated phone service) and access to business mentors and workshops
- The first 100 entries (per region) will receive 1 year’s free eOffice membership worth £100 each to include access to eOffice, discounted room bookings and networking opportunities
Competition terms and conditions
- By entering this competition, you agree to these rules. The competition is run and promoted as part of Enterprise United Kingdom. Enterprise United Kingdom, is a company limited by guarantee, registered in England, company number 5562447. It is also a registered Charity, number 1127187. - This competition is open to UK residents (including Channel Islands & Isle of Man), except employees and their families of Enterprise United Kingdom, its agencies or anyone professionally associated with the competition, and direct family members.
- To the extent permitted by law Enterprise United Kingdom will not accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any entrant resulting from entering this competition, or by any entrants acceptance of the prize, or any damage to any entrants or other persons computer as a consequence of downloading any material relating to this competition.
- Enterprise United Kingdom does not accept any responsibility for any network congestion, technical failure or other problem in any telephone line, internet connection, network provider, or industrial action which results in any entry not being received.
- No application entry may be changed once it has been submitted, this excludes contact details.
- Enterprise United Kingdom may disqualify you from winning a prize if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that you are in breach of these rules or your participation in the competition is unlawful.
- Enterprise United Kingdom may cancel or suspend the competition for reasons outside of its control.
- Enterprise United Kingdom is not responsible for any delays in the prize delivery.
- Enterprise United Kingdom may amend these rules without notice, by posting changes to them on the website
- The closing date for all entries is 30 November 2009. All entries must be received by 5pm (GMT). Enterprise United Kingdom does not accept responsibility for lost, delayed, damaged, corrupted or invalid entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
- Only one application form per business.
- No cash alternative will be offered
- Office prizes are only available where indicated through eOffice located in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or London.
- Applicants must be 18 years or over.
- Winners of the virtual and office space can only trade if their business and products comply with current trading standards and legislation.
- All applicants have the right to opt out of receiving further information by sending email to info@eoffice.net or matt@enterpriseuk.org
- Winner(s) will be informed on 11 December 2009 and an announcement will be made later that day.
- All winner(s) agree to meet with partners and sponsors w/c 14 December 2009.
- National winner will begin 12 months’ free office trading w/c 4 January 2010.
- Regional virtual office space winner(s) will commence trading w/c 4 January 2010.
- Winner(s) will be required to have public liability insurance.
- Local and National judges’ names are available on written request.
- All winners agree to fully engage in PR, Press and Media opportunities.
- Any additional office costs incurred are to be met by the winner(s).
- Winners must provide their own laptops/PCs for use in the office spaces.
- To the extent permitted by law. Enterprise United Kingdom excludes all warranties (whether express or implied), or other representations and its liability regarding this competition or the prizes (other than liability for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence).
- These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
