Enterprising Places

From the smallest village to an industrial city, we work to find and support entrepreneurs.

We spread the enterprise message far and wide, working closely with partners in all regions and the devolved administrations to promote enterprise. Our community networking hub -Enterprising Places Network - connects enterprising minds online and through regional meet-ups, whilst the Enterprising Britain Competition showcases these organizations and award them for their success.

We aim to:

  • Use local and regional insights to develop resources that meet the needs of people in every part of the country.
  • Have  an understanding of local landscapes.
  • Help to join up enterprising places across the UK to spread good practice and extend the reach of our campaign activities.

What’s going on around the country?

The first official launch of the Enterprising Places Network events in the North West and the South East were held in Furness and Brighton and we explored the untapped potential in Newcastle.
