Sweet Enough For Prince Charles

Jenny Hudson has a passion for chocolate and her company Sweet As makes some of the finest chocolate cakes in the country.

Jenny’s cakes are so good in fact that she has received the royal stamp of approval, making a cake for Charles and Camilla’s wedding anniversary.

Jenny’s love affair with chocolate began whilst at catering college in London. After completing her training she got a job at Claridges, where she was lucky enough to work under the inspirational head pastry chef and chocolate guru Claire Clarke.

Jenny conceived the idea for Sweet As during a trip to Australia.

She spent days staring at the beautiful wedding cakes lining the fridges of Brunetti’s, a Melbourne patisserie, and on returning to England she decided to apply for a grant from The Princes Trust. Her application was accepted and Jenny set up business in Warwickshire.

Although she has had support and encouragement along the way, Jenny says there are not enough enterprising role models to inspire young people.

Going it alone is a big risk and it would be impossible without love for her work, passion and determination. The business is going from strength to strength and Jenny is making her sweet dream a reality.
