Dream PA And Forward Lady
Nadine decided to work from home as a self-employed Virtual Assistant, and grew the business over the first few years to include telephone answering for clients.
Nadine started the business with only £50, whilst still doing her day job, studying business courses in the evening and looking after her young family. She then applied for a Business Link grant with which she was able to buy more office equipment and marketing materials. The Dream PA now supports more than 70 small businesses across the UK, providing a Virtual Receptionist to take calls when the business owner cannot get to the phone.
Nadine loves being self-employed, and is passionate about helping other young women succeed in whatever path they choose. She is a ‘Forward Lady’ and a regular attendee at WIN (Women in Networks), run by Business Link West Yorkshire. She is also a member of UK business-to-business networks such as BNI and Lunchnet, from which she has made great contacts, generated new business and also gained valuable and confidence-boosting experience of public speaking.
Having recently added a son to her young family, Nadine cites her children as her biggest inspiration and motivation. She says, “I want them to see that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish your goals. The people who succeed are the ones who dare to try…we just have to believe in ourselves.”
