Make Your Mark in the Markets competition terms and conditions

  1. By entering this competition, you agree to these rules. The competition is run and promoted as part of Enterprise UK. Enterprise UK is a company limited by guarantee. (Registered office: 172 Drury Lane, Covent Garden, London, WC2B 5QR. Tel: 020 7430 8010. Registered company number 5562447)
  2. All entries are through official online entry process
  3. This competition is open to UK residents (including Channel Islands & Isle of Man), except employees and their families of Enterprise UK, its agencies or anyone professionally associated with the competition, and direct family members.
  4. To the extent permitted by law. Enterprise UK will not accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any entrant resulting from entering this competition, or by any entrants acceptance of the prize, or any damage to any entrants or other persons computer as a consequence of downloading any material relating to this competition.
  5. Enterprise UK does not accept any responsibility for any network congestion, technical failure or other problem in any telephone line, internet connection, network provider, or industrial action which results in any entry not being received.
  6. No application entry may be changed once it has been submitted, this excludes contact details.
  7. Enterprise UK may disqualify you from winning a prize if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that you are in breach of these rules or your participation in the competition is unlawful.
  8. Enterprise UK may cancel or suspend the competition for reasons outside of its control.
  9. Enterprise UK is not responsible for any delays in the prize delivery.
  10. Enterprise UK may amend these rules without notice, by posting changes to them on the website
  11. The closing date for all entries is 22nd March 2010.  All entries must be received by 5pm (GMT). Enterprise UK does not accept responsibility for lost, delayed, damaged, corrupted or invalid entries.  Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
  12. Only one application form per business.
  13. No cash alternative will be offered
  14. Applicants must be 16 years or over.
  15. All applicants have the right to opt out of receiving further information by sending email to Denise@enterpriseuk.org
  16. All shortlist entries will be announced on 5th April 2010
  17. National winner(s) start of six months free trading is decided by winning market. Enterprise UK have no responsibility with regards to winner(s) start date.
  18. Winner(s) will be required to have public liability insurance.
  19. Local and National judge’s names are available on written request. 
  20. All winners agree to fully engage in PR, Press and Media opportunities.
  21. Any additional costs incurred are to be met by the winner(s).
  22. To the extent permitted by law. Enterprise UK excludes all warranties (whether express or implied), or other representations and its liability regarding this competition or the prizes (other than liability for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence).
  23. These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
