Migration of Tenner - Young Enterprise chosen as preferred applicant

At a meeting on 28 June, the trustees of Enterprise UK accepted the recommendation of the Evaluation Panel that Young Enterprise should be treated as the preferred applicant to take over the Tenner programme.
The Evaluation Panel included one trustee and nominees from the CBI, British Chambers of Commerce, Institute of Directors and and the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). There was a high standard of applications and the trustees wish to thank all the organisations who submitted Expressions of Interest.
The trustees are pleased that this stage has been completed and will now enter into due diligence with Young Enterprise with the intent of completing the transfer as soon as practicable. Following the transfer, it is intended that Enterprise UK will be wound up.
